Sweetie and I were in Lubbock again and searched for a restaurant on Google. We decided on Joel's because we weren't looking for anything heavy to eat and Joel's looked like it had diner style food. We found our way to the restaurant (which is located in a somewhat residential neighborhood) and parked across the street because it's small parking lot was full (a good sign, right?). We went in and found out it was a Mexican style restaurant with a nice little buffet. Sweetie ordered a breakfast burrito with eggs and potatoes and ham. I opted for the buffet. The buffet had really good build your own tacos and carne asada burritos along with beans, rice, a nice salad bar and even a couple of soups. The taco and asado were delicious. I had a bowl of their soup and discovered it was menudo! It wasn't just menudo, it was really delicious menudo! We both ate well and filled up just right and it was a tad over $20 for both of us, including drinks. Well done, Joel!!
